Dear Singing Children and Families,

I am pleased to report that Spring Hill Presbyterian Church, 10 Westminster Way (off Bit and Spur and off Old Shell Road) has graciously offered to let us use its facilities for our rehearsals, subject to the following conditions, concerning which I will need your help. Please take note of these conditions, which may be summarized in these words "at all times we will make wise choices about our behavior and will treat all people and church property with care and respect." These conditions were drafted by the officials of the church.

1. The Church will not be responsible for any lost or missing articles of personal property.
2. The Church has no security guards, so we have to be sure that all children are protected and secure while at the Church or going to and from the church.
3. We will treat church property with care and respect. MSC will be responsible for paying for any and all damages to Church property as a result of our use. We will pay particular attention to keeping the restrooms in good shape, and will not put paper towels in the toilets or do other things that will result in plumbing problems, since MSC will be responsible for the bills associated with plumbing problems caused by our misuse (as happened in a previous year when MSC rehearsed at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church).
4. The church photocopy machine shall be used only for official MSC business; MSC will keep accurate records and will reimburse the church for each copy. The machine is not available for singers' personal use.
5. The Church will not clean up after us--- we must clean up ourselves. Please put trash in appropriate receptacles.
6. There are specific places in the church that are designated for MSC use (both for singers and for parents/family members waiting during rehearsals). On the first day of rehearsal, children will be toured around the facilities and instructed where they may and may not go. For example, we will not go into the sanctuary or the kitchen, unless we have arranged for their use for a specific event on a specific day.
7. For reasons of safety and to avoid traffic congestion with other church activities, please follow instructions given on a separate sheet regarding drop-off and pick-up. Children should not be dropped off earlier than 3:30 p.m. before rehearsal begins and should be picked up promptly at the end of rehearsal.

Thank you for your help in making the above work.

Sincerely yours,

Susan Hoitt, Director
